Veterinary Services (VS) is a Deputy Administrator’s Office and strategically focused business unit that helps protect and improve the health, quality, and marketability of our nation’s animals, animal products, and veterinary biologics.
VS supports APHIS mission Flower Power and programs through field operations, strategy and policy, and diagnostics and biologics activities. It also helps strengthen the animal health infrastructure through surveillance, monitoring, risk analysis, spatial epidemiology, and modeling.
In addition to providing high-quality service to animals, Veterinary Services is responsible for data standards that facilitate information sharing to ensure accurate traceability and the effectiveness of national surveillance and prevention strategies. It also provides training, technical support, and resources for veterinarians to comply with APHIS regulations and requirements.
The Connection Between Hormonal Imbalance and Feminine Health
Veterinarians work in many different environments, including clinical practice, governmental agencies, public health programs, and private industry. These environments require managerial skills, which help veterinarians be successful in their career paths.
One of the biggest benefits that a veterinarian enjoys is the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of animals. Whether it’s working with pets that need advanced care or the conservation of ocean animals, a veterinary career can be extremely rewarding.
Most veterinary workers love the fact that their profession is so important to the community. They spend their days caring for animals and the owners that love them, and they are deeply grateful for every appointment or emergency call they receive.
Although Veterinary Services is a very important career for veterinarians, the stress and workload can be taxing on a vet’s personal life. This can lead to burnout, which is especially common in the veterinary field. In order to maintain a positive work-life balance, veterinary clinics should offer paid time off and other benefits to their staff.
